This could make running the bourbon trail just a little more interesting!! Congrats Kirk, looking forward to seeing what you do with this one.

I'll be up there in July for that Drew Estate / Flor de Cana event, tune tweaked and hopefully some other mods completed. Buffalo Trace if you're up for it?

Must be some serious discounts to get a $58k car down to the price of a '13 G37

Congrats nonetheless on your new ride

I know the exterior isn't the prettiest, especially compared to a G37S that's "OEM +" as Connor would say. But if you do the OEM + mod on a GS it looks quite good. Check the attached picture, that's what I'm going for.

Thanks!
Good Luck Kirk, post some pics of any mods you do to the IS in your old build thread, would be cool to see another transformation. Don't be a stranger.

I can definitely appreciate that for sure Todd and I'm with you on that. I like a nice car but not something that draws a lot of attention.

I agree. Kirk, I see no reason why you can't just continue your existing build thread into your new car, so that we can stay in touch and see what you're doing to it. Your build thread had some good conversation, excellent pictures, etc.

And in a few months, we can advise you on your next car, to which you should feel totally comfortable ignoring the advice, selling the house and buying a Ferrari.

Nice pic! I try me best to resist this urge when other people are around, but I usually can't help it haha.

That's exactly how I park in garages. In the corner, with tires on the lines but not over them. Soon as you park over the lines, the garage attendants delight in fining you, and it draws attention to parking spot vigilantes.

And I forgot to add, congrats on your purchase Kirk! Definitely nice and look forward to seeing what you do with it.

I heard from a guy the Lexus cars can't really be modded like with intakes and stuff because the computer apparently resets back to OEM settings, making the mod effectively useless as a power gain. Is that true?

Thanks! I'm still waiting for the dealer to get mine in, I've been driving a base GS350 for the time being, I should be picking mine up on Friday.

As far as intakes go I'm not sure. I don't plan to do a whole lot to the car just RSR super down springs, wheels and tires, possibly the ev controlled GTHAUS, and a front lip. I've been browsing through the Lexus forums and I haven't seen one person mention intakes yet, so that may be true.

Is there a TRD (they really need to rename that) group at your plant? Gotta be something that can be done. Let's discuss a friends and family discount when the Supra comes out shall we?

They call the Lexus division F-Sport. I know they offer springs and sways for the IS, but I'm unclear about what they offer for the GS. Can't seem to get a straight answer.

I'm sure we can work something out.
