That Motodyne E370 sounds just like how I remember the ARK Grip sounding... probably because of the same tech for at-the-can resonators. Wow.
Here's the thing: the kid inside of me would love playing with that sound. But the 50 year old adult and suburban Dad of two could become pretty self-conscious, pretty damn quick.
Thinking... thinking... And wondering how much the little resonators in my FI RHFC's would affect things.
You're right, that's more money than I'm going to spend on a cat-back. And while it's an impressive noise, the register is a little too high for my tastes.

and now I do feel ignored with my exhaust leak issue lol
Right, that's why I said I would have to hold my judgment until I hear it in person. It could be that all the videos I've seen (including yours) have the camera/gopro near the exhaust and the mic could be picking up noises unheard from afar. Videos can only give us so much to go on versus seeing/hearing/feeling the masterpieces in person. Any idea the piping diameter and size options if any?
Perhaps one of your gaskets has broken or isn't sealing correctly if you reused since you changed the piping?

John I love the FI but I'm biased. With the 12 inch resonators it's fairly loud. Good tone but still. You could ask them if they would weld on your tips of choice, it's being made to order anyway.
The Motordyne is a really nice choice too.
Ah, well, that's the issue then, right? No resonators.
The muffler reduces overall noise, while also modulating it. Whereas the resonators modulate the noise, while also muffling it. I think that's a fair assessment of the parts... anyone?

- Motordyne - sexiest sound
- GT-Haus - most exotic, awesome quality
- ARK Grip - Motordyne-ish, but more affordable and less crazy loud
- FI - fitment and quality, with a damn fine looking can
- Stillen - beautiful can and tips
- Top-Speed - affordable quality

And if FI, pretty sure I'd go with 18" resonators. I'd only like it hella loud if it "pops!", like the Ark or Motordyne.
What I'd really like is if Fast Intentions sold a cat-back with a helmholtz resonator. That would be the best.
Exhaust Muffler Tip Oval Forward Slash Cut Double Wall Inter-cooled Rolled Edge Resonated 2" Inlet / ID, 4.75X3.25"Outlet / OD #RTP-005
Invidia--Quitest, modest tips, Lego_Maniac approved

Magnaflow--??
Greedy--??
HKS--??
Fast Intentions offers a CF muffler setup? I don't even know where to go with that. Why CF?

That list was off the top of my head. Certainly these would be on it. Although not feeling the Invidia at all. (Sorry, Lego) Or Tanabe, for that matter.

After long tube headers, no cats and a cutout on my Trans Am, and a down-pipe and cat back on my LGT, low noise was a primary consideration in choosing the Invidia. The sound of the exhausts you're looking at are in a different league
You almost need a 'Help find Rochester an Exhaust' thread
I REALLY like my Ark exhaust. I had a full motordyne Shockwave TDX2 on my G35 Coupe and loved that. I think I may like the Ark a little better. Obviously not quite as loud right now running stock cats. But man, that deceleration growl the Ark has is just money. Really happy with my purchase.
