Yeah, the zoom is ridiculous and so is the white balance! Those pics make you seem like a spy.

Edit: Actually they have now replaced the SX50 with the SX60, it has a 65x zoom and 21-1365mm focal range: http://www.engadget.com/2014/09/15/canon-sx60-hands-on/

I have a nice 3-point adjustable stand, but those pics were taken just holding the camera in my hand. The stability feature in the Canon seems to work really well. And the rapid-shot feature is awesome when taking photos of my kid's soccer or field hockey games.

I've never owned a high-end camera, and this certainly is not one. But it's better than most point-n-shoots around $400, and worth the money, IMO. Truth is, I'm a noob when it comes to photography, although I recognize that I've some natural skills when it comes to framing a shot, and I know a little about digital editing, maybe more than the average Joe, but certainly not as much as a PhotoShop expert. I don't even own a copy of PhotoShop, although I'd like to.

One of my small bucket list items while the car looks like it does, would be to have a professional photo shoot like some here have done. So jealous of those pics.

Wow, I wonder if even I could take decent pics w/ that one

Sounds really great man! As Rochester mentioned, I liked that you drove over the camera. That was pretty cool. Don't you just love that deep FI tone?

Did notice how unresponsive the paddle shifters are. That half sec lag makes a difference.

I used a crappy refurb low end canon to record, but man the mic seems solid in it. I do have the same camera as you Rochester but the battery was dead.
Yeah I'm not a fan either of free rev to 4,500 or 5,000 and then 5,000 - 7,500 and then repeat the 5,000 - 7,500 part about 10 times.

It sounds solid and good! Did you do RHFC's as well or CBE only? I didn't notice any hiss from your car which is a good thing. I still have to find time to get back to the shop and see if I can't get that resolved.

"WHOA!! Dude, that thing has like 2,000 mile zoom lens!!!!" Bonus points if anyone knows what movie that was from.

That's a nice camera Rochester. I assume it's a point and shoot? 50x optical zoom is strong, real strong.

I just may have to consider that camera for my point and shoot replacement. I have a Nikon D700 and if you lived closer, I'd do a shoot for you, just for fun.

If you want to learn more about photography, check out kenrockwell.com He does a lot of reviews on cameras but also on how to get great shots with the gear that you have. He gets some amazing results and vibrant colors.

Along that line, I would be remiss in my g37 community duties if I didn't mention stuckincustoms.com That site is more about travel and high dynamic range photography (HDR).

Just a point-n-shoot. Nothing fancy but that 50X lens extending in a way that makes you think the camera is happy to be in your hands.

It has a 360* swivel LCD lens, which is seriously useful. And a pretty decent pop-up light, as well as a hot-shoe for an external flash. I used to have this really nice and stupidly expensive Canon Speedlite external bounce-flash. Sadly, it broke one day, so I replaced it with a Walmart cheapie. Works fine for me.

Yes it's definitely sporting the lens chub there. Looks quite versatile especially for vacation when I don't want to lug around my DSLR.

So this is my latest mod to my car, finally got my headlights done on saturday which have been really bugging me for the longest as I couldn't stand those two big chunks of chrome

Finally got around to capture few pictures at dusk as that is the best time to take pictures of the headlights with the dual evil iron man LEDs to reflect the actual brightness and look as seen in person, cause even in full sunlight they are very bright but in pictures they will come out dim.

Housings and shrouds painted gloss black with the custom halo rings made into Dual Evil Iron Mans and as seen Lambo orange eyelid as an accent color to later compliment well the Lambo orange BBK calipers. ( that's correct Rochester and Brad)

After I spoke to Alex at 180 about me contemplating either lambo orange or dark maroon red for calipers and doing the same color eyelids, he said definitely Lambo orange, as the dark maroon red would not pop as much and would look as if it was dirty, and he was right... so once I get my calipers done in LO it will flow very nicely together, at least IMO.

The clear STI-R lenses haven't been swapped in yet as they didn't have them this saturday but I'll be going back on the 27th to get them done and probably have them install my V3 Triton amber LEDs or I'll get that done myself, time will tell.

And a bit edited one for fun

Man, I want that amber swoop in the eyelid against my Moonlight White so bad... Very cool. Mike. Let's see some daytime close-ups, Bud.

It's only CBE for now, I am undecided on my next mod! Rims, Swift springs, header/test pipes, CS diffuser...

Wow Mike, those lights really transformed the whole look up front, awesome selection of colors and contrasts.
Hats-off for a great upgrade
