Spring 2014 Meet-up

Who's in for a Spring 2014 Meet-up in the Northeast? IDK how far I'd be willing to travel, but certainly far enough for my wife to roll her eyes at me. I met up with Choman in December, and he'd like to do it again before heading out West.

Let's start talking and see if anything comes of it.

Does anyone know what tire width to go with to eliminate the need for spacers? I was thinking 275 in the rear but not sure about the fronts. Would they also be 275 or would they be a little less?

I like the idea. It would be awesome to have a bunch of G's to meet up. I'll have some vacation days coming up in the next couple of months that I'll need to use before they expire.

Let's do it! The g35nyc meet in Brooklyn last october had about 50 g's, and it was fantastic. Would love to do another one.

Are you on OEM wheels? If so 245s would be about as wide as you'd want on a 7.5"wheel. Most just resort to spacers up front

I finally put up a build thread! It's sparse now, but I'll fill it out in my free time.

Yeah. It's the coupe 19s I pm'd you about. I'm pretty sure the sport 18s I had on my xS were 250 in the rear. I'm dealing with quite a bit of rear wheel wobble and I think it's from the spacers not being 100% tightened down. I got frustrated yesterday I had the wheel off and just bought a bunch of sockets and realized that the sockets I bought were the 10 sided and not the 5 sided so I couldn't get the sockets to stay on the lugs. So I couldn't torque them and decided after I change my wheels out I don't want to mess with them anymore.

On your 8.5" coupe fronts you could run a bit wider, I'd stick to 255/40/19s or 245/40/19s though, anything wider and you'll hit the inner fender edge under hard compression since it's not flat rolled like the rear.
