I think they wanted to reflect Infiniti Redbull Racing and the F1 tail light.

 

Quite obvious to those knowledgeable of motorsport. But why'd you post a pic of a Toyota and not an Infiniti Red Bull?

Of course you Lol'd when you read the headline just like me and every other Infiniti owner. But look at it.

 

I've seen those lights on European cars before. They rapid fire blink on panic stops.

 

It looks fine as a concept, but as enthusiast we are equally if not more interested in what it can do. The recent past is the best prediction of the near future, and to me that indicates more show than go from Infiniti (a la IPL). They are more interested in becoming a global sellar than a "performance" oriented company. And that's fine I guess. Maybe one day that will allow themto produce the M/AMG/RS/F level of cars we have longed for, but that day will likely not come anytime soon. I am more interested in seeing what the q60 will be like than a special edition q50. There are so many exciting enthusiast cars coming out in recent months, it's getting frustrating (as a long time infiniti owner/fan) waiting for infiniit to join in.

 

I think that the 370z has it too.
