Sonar question

I've searched and can't find anything about it. I know when you back up, you get the little car with the blinking red, yellow, or green to show up everytime. Sometimes though after I put the car in park or neutral, the whole screen turns to a much larger picture of that, and even has an area to show the front sonar. How do I get to that screen?

bump for interest. I've seen this also been curious. I have noticed that it generally comes up when I park particularly close to something and the sonar goes nuts.

I've also seen this, briefly appear, on the screen. It's very random and it always disappears before I can get a picture.

This has happened to me several times and honestly keeps happening more and more often as when I back up into my parking spot (close to a wall) and when I quickly switch it to neutral the sonar screen quickly appears and it always made me wonder what is it and how do I get it to appear

When your in reverse go into your camera settings and turn your backup camera off.

Why turn off the camera? Is this to get the sonar screen instead?

oh! That's right! I think the sonar is independent of the camera. The camera has the colored lines indicating distance to an object, and sonar will alert you of distance audibly. It is possible to get a car with sonar but without a camera. If you only have sonar, it shows that screen, if you have a camera, it typically shows the camera backup. If for some reason the car turns off the backup camera (if the car is bumped into neutral), but the sonar doesn't turn off immediately, you get the screen + alarm instead.

That's the best theory I've got.

Heres the actual answer. I forgot you have to go to the 'Secret' menu to turn off the back up camera. Then you get the full car sonar.
