I suppose its better when its moving but every time my car has been in the rain I damn near need to brake short to get all of the excess water off the car.

Plenty I've been drenched because the water poured into my car like a sieve when turning.

I dont even want to talk about the sunroof

Windows up, AC on works for me when it's raining.

Of course it does.....its part of owning an aerodynamic car. Every car I've owned for the last ten years has been like that. On the other hand, my 1977 Pinto had lots of drip molding to keep this from happening....

Another well known feature of the mighty Pinto were the drainage holes that appeared at the bottom of the doors after only a few years. Very forward-thinking car.

However, back on topic... close your windows when it rains. I realize that's a PITA if you're smoking, but you shouldn't smoke in the car. It's very distracting. And smelly.

Wash. Dry. Clay bar. Polish. Sealer. Wax.

That water will run off much easier. If you want open windows during rain, get these: 2011 Infiniti G37 Wind Deflectors | Rain Guards | Window Visors

Are there any cars left with rain guards? I think the EPA killed them off. They cost money, decrease mileage and only a tiny fraction of people drive in the rain with the windows down (basically people that still smoke, and not only still smoke, but smoke in the car). Not a lot going for them from the manufacturer point of view.

Don't know what you are talking about ...

(We hardly see any rain here so it doesn't really bother me. Actually, I wished it rains a little more often here ... )

haha i think its my poor description that isnt grabbing you.

Basically the water seems to pool more on this car than any other I've driven and where normally a minute or three of driving would sufficiently shake off excess water I still notice some coming in when I turn or brake heavy.

I dont smoke (nor can anyone who smokes get in my car without first waiting 5 minutes) but like having my windows cracked when its nice and cool like that.

I've seen a pic or two of rain guard Gs, I need to check them out -- anyone have a source?

JDM window visors. See the thread, page 2:

https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...7-sedan-2.html

I like window visors because (1) they cut down on wind noise and turbulence when I have the windows down and (2) I can leave the car in a parking lot with the windows cracked during hot weather and not worry about the infrequent but sometimes locally heavy rain downpours in the Phoenix valley during monsoon season. I have the JDM units on my 2010 Journey. I also have the WeatherTech ones on the wife's 2011 Subaru Outback. Both are functional. The WeatherTechs were a little cheaper and the front ones just snapped into the window channels; the rear units also snap into the channels but have have a thin strip of adhesive to hold them in place. The JDMs attach to the outside of the chrome window trim and look better as they match the chrome trim of the windows. They (JDMs) are held in place using industrial strength adhesives. I ordered mine through Fontana Nissan in Fontana CA; 866-350-1005. Part # HO800-JK000. Price last December was $105 plus shipping. Took me about an hour to install, even with the instructions written in Japanese.
