Cup Holder Lid

I have been looking into getting a used G37x 2010 or newer. One thing I noticed is that when the cup holder lid is in the upright position, it sticks out past the end of the armrest. It would seem that if you are resting your arm on the armrest, that the lid would dig into the arm. Does anyone find that to be the case?

You are correct, the cupholder cover does stick up slightly. It doesn't dig into my arm, however, I sometimes hit the lid with my elbow as I'm driving.

Buy a Sedan 6MT, and the cup holder lid is a sliding panel, instead of a flip-up, so problem solved.

However, on the 6MT the cup holders are also completely lame, and you really won't be using them. So... problem solved again.

Not only is the cup holder totally out of the way on the 6MT, so is the arm rest. You don' t hit it when shifting (like I do on the 3-series) but on the other hand it is so low that it's useless as an arm rest.

I do find the 6MT cup holder very useful as a storage spot.
