Exhaust Problem, any suggestions?

I just installed my Top Speed Exhaust I got yesterday, it sounds great, but now I'm having a problem with it scrubbing on the speed bumps on my road. I live in a subdivision with 7 speed bumps on the way to the front gate. It did scrub before on a couple of them before the install but was never to bad. Now it's scrubbing on even the lowest one near my house, I can go out the back gate without hitting any speed bumps but it goes to the opposite side of town I go to. Its scrubbing the flange were the Top Speed exhaust mounts to the factory tubing in the middle of the car. It probably only needs to go up about half an inch to clear them all. I stuck a 1" piece of wood (just to see) in between the exhaust and a brace to raise it and made it over all the speed bumps, but I could feel the vibrations of the exhaust through the floor and need some more ideas. Any ideas on a permanent fix.

If it's just a flange what's preventing you from adjusting it and move it half an inch like you said?

Its where the old and new exhaust meet and there's not any room for adjustment. It just sags down farther than before. Here's an example.

you can modify the exhaust hanger. e.g cut it short so that the hang point would be closer to the under of the vehicle at the same time giving you the half inch clearance you need. The rubber mount will remain unmodified so it should still smooth out any vibrations

I just took it back down and tried that but it wouldn't even bolt back up if I turned it over. Thanks though.

Glad it worked out, those must be some hellacious speed bumps unless you're pretty low. Post some pics in the TopSpeed thread if you can, nice to see more folks w/ these exhausts.

Yeah, dropped on H&R's. I will post some pics as soon as the rain stops so I can clean her up. Couldn't be happier with the exhaust now that its fixed...

Those H&Rs are about as low as I was on my B&G springs, it adds an element of adventure when you're dropped under the fenders for sure. I'm back to zero gap on coils now for a less streesful drive
Glad to hear you're happy w/ the exhaust, they are a great deal and sound really good IMO. Hope your Y-pipe braided connectors are in better shape than mine. Mine look like they got caught in the middle of fighting pit-bulls

Yeah that's where mine is taking a beating too. Didn't know it was that bad until yesterday. When I got the H&R's I didn't expect it to be that low, boy was I wrong!! I get a lot of weird looks from the younger kids wondering why an old man is driving a lowered car. LOL. I must admit I look like I should be driving a 4x4 truck instead.
