It's a shame Mike had to sell it, he's now driving a Chevy Volt, makes sense for his bottom line but sad to see him part w/ that sweet ride. Some lucky buyer out there got a killer G.

I like the look of the smaller tips with the mufflers blacked out. Has anyone modified the muffler tip length? For me, I wish the exhaust length matched the stock length. I must be getting old. Just curious if anyone has either modified the length or changed the tips all together on either the Top Speed or Tanabe. If so, any pics or info on what was done??

You mean, bought aftermarket tips, then cut them to the perfect length and welded them to the cans with perfect fitment to the cut-out?

Yes, someone has.

Hope all know I mean no disrespect to those who have & love the Top Speed or Tanabe. I am looking for an exhaust that has a little more aggressive note than stock with an appearance real close to stock.

You could replace your restrictive cats w/ resonated HFCs or try removing the resonators in the factory mid pipes keeping the stock mufflers & tips. BTW, no disrespect taken

Thanks blnewt for the info. I was considering FI RHFC's, but couldn't find any clips of how they sound with stock exhaust. I didn't even know you could remove the resonators from the mid pipes. I'm a little new to this game. Thanks again...

I absolutely love this particular comparison video of BERK to FI. It was the deciding moment for me to put FI's RHFC at the top of my list.

Actually you can't remove the resonators from the mid pipes, you'd have to replace the mid pipe section w/ straight pipes, sorry if I wasn't clear

Did you modify your tips at all? Your fitment looks good

No, my exhaust was among the first offered from TopSpeed for the 07+ Sedan about 18 months ago, it has 4.5" diameter tips compared to the latest version which are 4" diameter.

Ordered a Top Speed exhaust, at $420 shipped this is a killer deal for a catback and even with some of the variables, saving $500-1000$ vs other options its worth the risk of having to make slight modifications.

I will be painting my canisters, not sure if I will go gloss black, or flat black, input?

Thanks for those that have helped
