Dent/Ding -Taking minor dent out - Any suggestions on fixing?

Hey folks,

I always tried parking further away from the crowd. however over the past long weekend, my car got a door size dent, some ******* just aren't responsible at all

i've thought about asking the Paintless repair group but my area they charge around $120 for it, totally not worthy.

i've googled around and found this
Amazon.com: Dent Out Cross Bar Ding Repair Kit: Automotive Amazon.com: Dent Out Cross Bar Ding Repair Kit: Automotive

Do any of you had experience?

Lol don't waste your time and money. There's nothing that works other than pdr. Most DIY gimmicks will cause more damage rather than doing any good. If you think $120 is a lot, take it to a bodyshop and let them fix it for you for $800.

PDR specialists generally charge $100 per problem area, plus or minus depending on how complex it is to access, and how clean they can guarantee the results. Not all dents/dings can be fixed at all, or to 100% repair, with PDR techniques. Sometimes you have to settle for good enough.

For those situations, the only other alternative is a body shop and anywhere from 5x to 10x the cost.

$120 is fair. Do it for the peace of mind.

I've had PDR done on two door dents on two of my previous cars. Cost me $100 for each dent. IMO it was well worth it. Both dents were almost 100% removed. If you looked very closely at just the right angle you could barely see an imperfection where the dents were.

One word of advice, PDR takes skill and experience. Some people who do PDR are skilled craftsmen and do an excellent job. Others lack real training and experience and frequently don't do that good a job.

The guy who did my PDR has nearly two decades of experience. This is all he does, full-time, 5 days/week and he came highly recommended by some show car owners/collectors I know. Do your homework and check out the experience and work of anyone who does PDR before you let them work on your car.

PDR IS worth it if you care for the appearance of your vehicle.
Here is what a good PDR did with my G37 last year.

Definitely PDR is the way to go. If you have a reputable body shop in your area, they should be able to hook you up with someone who is qualified. In my area, $75 - $100 per ding...

It's possible, though I can't imaging how something such as a small rock could create a dent without also chipping off the paint.
Do you have a picture of the dent to share with us?
