It has been been between 5 degrees and 20 these past weeks in my car been making a noise that I can't explain when it starts till it warms then its regular is that normal or something I should look into more?
I'm no expert, but if I were you and I was truly concerned I might switch to a little lighter weight oil. Maybe something like German Castrol (0w-30)?

I'm in chicago. For the last week, it's been very frigid here. Running 5w30 penzoil ultra. I suppose it doesn't really matter what brand oil, so long as it's synthetic. Doesn't thicken up like regular dino oil does in these temps.
Also, I do let the car run a few min before going. At temps over 32F, I let it idle for less than a minute before taking off.

I would consider an engine block heater if your US model has one. If not, they are not expensive. They do help considerably when it gets real cold.
The owners manual states "The engine block heater should be used when the outside temperature is 20°F (-7°C) or lower."
The OM also states that factory block heaters are "for Canada only". It would seem that no one told Infiniti that parts of the US get just as cold as parts of Canada. I wonder, do Alaskan Infiniti's have standard OEM block heaters?

The only time I ever had a vehicle fail to start in the cold was in Stowe Vermont with a 69 VW Beedle at 40 below zero. A few other skiers pushed the vehicle and I popped the clutch & it roared into life.
Pays to have a stick shift especially in cold weather.

It looks like your G is about four years old....all G's are loud for the first 30 seconds to a minute when first starting, especially in cold weather....a little bit like a diesel. If you've owned this car for a while...and these are new noises, then it might be something different. Could be old belts, tired water pump, sticky valves, or leaky exhaust manifold gasket. A leaky manifold gasket will often seal once the engine warms up a bit. You might run some BG44 through a tank of gas...that can clean injectors and valves. If that doesn't help, I am sure a good Infiniti mechanic could diagnose.
Thanks guys I was told by my service guy I got some miles left on my warranty so I am going in Tuesday evening and going to list for him to check everything you've all said I hope it's nothing and then again I hope it's something and he finds it and replaces it
