The article does give that impression, but this is strange. Anyway, I hope the clutch is sourced from MB - it can only be an improvement over the Infiniti clutch!

Not a mistake, it's in the Infiniti Euro press release also. The 6-speed manual and 7-speed auto (7G-TRONIC or 7G-TRONIC PLUS) are Mercedes transmissions. It would have been even more cool if they had used AMG's 7-Speed MCT Speedshift.
Yeah The AMG 7-Speed MCT Speedshift is pretty smooth on the MB and would be a good look for Infiniti. Interested to see this 530 hp twin turbo IPL though being built in the same plant as the Nissan GT-R, the Tochigi plant. Should be a GT-R Sedan. Infiniti has mentioned it wants to lean on the Tochigi engineering as it’s symbol for unique, Japan-made performance, luxury and quality. Sick for a production sedan but better be.. Priced expected for the 2014 Infiniti IPL placed MSRP around the Mercedes C63..But still not as much as GT-R. Overall may be on the list of upcoming cars! I mean I do have a family and all and they love the coupe but the fit is tight! Lol

Where do you get that from?
All they said was "stay tuned for future developments/announcements" which basically can mean anything from a month after the car's release to 5 years down the road. I'm hoping for sooner rather than later.

I don't know where everyone got the idea that they wouldn't be doing a 6MT.

Honestly, I'm quite amazed and very disappointed that you haven't already done 3 or 4 different photoshoots and videos of various Vossen wheels on the still unreleased Q50. Or LaFerrari. I fully expected to see a set of Vossens on it in Geneva when the cover came off of the car. The mighty Vossen behemoth marketing machine is slipping.
