2014 Sedan
The hybrid will add about 275 lbs to the weight of the car. Who knows how it will drive - we'll have to wait and see. It will add significantly to the price of the car as well - probably pushing it well into BMW/Audi prices.
Another (more minor) disadvantage of the hybrid is that it eats up a bunch of trunk space.

Since battery pack is in the rear of the car, I can only imagine the RWD Hybrid is gonna have tons of traction and is gonna propel like a bat out of hell. Easily a high 12 second car.
I
I have a feeling that this is not going to be next Skyline, it'll be just Q50. Up till now the Nissan jp website has not yet revealed anything about new Skyline yet. Yes I think this is the end of Skyline in the US.

Huh?? Can you clarify just exactly what you mean? You do know Nissan sells the gtr right ? I just want to understand better what it is your trying to say.
So I got to finally watch the reveal and JdN's speech. I did not understand his comments to mean that the 4 cylinder turbo and diesel powered variants are bound for the US market. I got the impression at all that those power plants will be available in other international markets where people will actually buy them like Asia and Europe. Those cars wouldn't as sell well here as you might think. At lest not traditionally. That's why we don't hardly any of them.
Man, some of you guys are generally some sour apples. Comparing this thread with the thread at Club Lexus of the 2014 Lexus IS Release, those guys gave mostly good remarks of it, along with constructive criticism here and there. Over here it's bogus comments such as "There's no 6MT so I'm completely writing it off" and others. I understand everyone has opinions but you could at least show some kind of recognition with the amount of improvements made.
Anyways, it's a nice car so far. Love the pics so far, but reserving opinion until I see it on the lot. The vast amount of tech added makes me optimistic.

They should make a 4dr coupe with square styling and round tails, would be a perfect skyline.

The Infiniti G37 is the Nissan Skyline 370GT
What he is asking....is if the new Infiniti Q50 is the new 2013 Nissan Skyline 370GT or Nissan Skyline 350GT Hybrid.
Lexus is already in Japan now Infiniti needs to catch up.
What other makes/models sell a hybrid that are successful?
I can think of the Prius, Camry, Lacrosse, Honda models, Hyundia, and maybe a few others.
Is this who they are trying to compete against? Why is anyone excited about a hybrid?
Maybe I am missing something but I hate the hybrid, maybe someone can enlighten me on this aspect.

I really hope this is just an initial introduction and Nissan will bring in some real engine for this car no no not the hybrid.......if I concerned about gas mileage I'd gotten a Camry. The only reason for buying the G instead of a bimmer is because it's performance and more importantly its other name, the skyline.
