2014 Sedan
I'm happy with the new car, the updated look is nice, the interior is a step up, the customization options sound great. I just hope there's not a bunch of people crashing reading their facebook while driving, probably why they have that built in collision detection system.
Though honestly I'm most happy I don't feel the need to immediately go out and upgrade my '12. The name change will confuse people for a while, the performance isn't any better, and I still like the styling of my G. I probably won't get an Infiniti for my next car not because this ones not nice, but simply because I like to try out new brands past 3 cars have been (Honda, Toyota, Infiniti), but who knows maybe I'll like the Q70 or other offerings.

From the website:
"Personalized drive modes - Infiniti’s ground-breaking Direct Adaptive Steering system, lets you customize your ride with four driver-selectable steering modes. Choose Touring, Sport or Standard modes to reflect the needs of the drive or simply your mood. And in Custom mode, steering effort and response can be personalized, freeing you to command the road on your terms."
Hopefully that means that there is a setting in that system for everyone :P

I see that the Q50 has a split fold-down rear seat, a very handy feature. Much better than the pass-through behind the rear armrest. Do you know if the Q50 has ventilated front seats? I haven't had a chance to check the new specs yet. I was surprised that my parents Maxima has ventilated front seats, but the current G does not offer them.
I don't understand the point of much of the infotainment. Distracting and dangerous while driving. When not driving, I'd rather use my smartphone.
The driving experience is the important thing while driving...

I would assume training on the Q50 wouldn't start till about march, maybe April seeing that it wont be launched until late summer (probably end of august, early September).
Lets hope I last that long lol.
I am neither confirming nor denying these things. This should be taken as an "Opinion".
The new G sedan will have the following.
1. Infiniti Connection- Auto Collision Notification, Emergency Calling, Enhanced Roadside assistance, Stolen vehicle report and locate, Remote door Lock/unlock, Alarm notification, Maintenance alert and schedule, My schedule (Google calendar sync) online trip and route planner. CHECK
2. M style interior. 1/2 CHECK
3. 2 engine sizes with a new VVEL system and DIG from the VK56. FAIL
4. Newer version of the ATTESA ET-S that will follow into the M, FX and EX and have and advance system for the new GTR and the IPL models. ???
5. IPL- new models based of the new coupe and Sedan, aimed at M3s, not an upscale GTR. ???
6. Improved 7 speed auto and a new 6 speed with the syncro match. (these will be in the new Z so they will be improved over the current transmissions) FAIL
7. Infiniti Around view monitor. (its coming to all models as an option. trust me.) CHECK
8. 2 new colors ( will replace 2 current colors, probly wont be able to tell unless you look really hard). ???
9. JXs remote start will make it to all models in 2014 ???
10. New verisons of active rear steer and VDC. FAIL

2.5 Checks, 3 fails and 4.5 unknowns,
Most you will be able to do while driving is make bluetooth phone calls, verbally update twitter/facebook and maybe change pandora channels.

Hopefully SMS reader too.
Disappointed with the engine and transmission but the Hybrid is interesting and will develop a lot more needed low end toque. The tech in this car is impressive. My lease in not up until June 2014, so I have lots of time to check it out and compare.
Anyone have actual photos of the car? figure by this time they'll be a load of them out instead of the renders :/
edit: nevermind found it. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2014-...oit-2013/full/
