Hey guys, I'm planning to get an Infiniti G37S (6MT) by December. I currently own a 2002 Firebird with beefed up suspension and I'm definitely going to do the same with the G37. I know it may sound stupid but I'm planning to buy all the suspension parts and the moment I roll out the lot I'm going to get it installed. Couple questions I have is I'm planning to buy these parts and wonder how some of you feel about it, if it's worth the upgrade or not?

Fender Braces
Coilovers
GTSpec Subframe Reinforcement Lower Frame Braces
GTSpec Ladder Lower Frame Braces
GTSpec Tie Bar Lower Frame Braces
GTSpec Type D Strut Tower Bars
Hot Chkis sway bar kit

Any suggestions or input will be great. If there's a certain brand that's better or model that's better. Or if I forgot something for suspension as well.
As for the GTSpec products on Lower Frame Braces, I'm not sure if it's one or other or all three can be combined together. Also any websites that is worth bookmarking for parts? The ones I came across so far is horsepowerfreaks and andyautosports

Can't wait to get an G37 and join the rest of the owners!

Welcome to the forum. Plan seems solid to me. Yes, you can use all of those braces. I have had them all except the fender braces. Improvements form each are relatively minimal but all of them together will improve rigidity. Ladder brace will decrease ground clearance if you are very low and scrape at times. Subframe brace will interfere with some aftermarket exhausts. You'll have to refabricate one piece or delete it altogether. Hotchkis sway bars will give more improvement to handling than all those braces together. I removed the GT spec strut brace and installed Cusco because it fits better without rubbing the underside of the hood.

There is a huge difference between quality coilovers and Chinese made crap. Which are you looking to get?

Thank you for your input. So it might seem better to eliminate the Subframe brace. I'm planning to get a Borla Exhaust so it might as well not waste money on the subframe brace. I want an exhaust that doesn't sound too ricey and Borla seems the one. Ok, Cusco strut bar it is.

As far as the coilovers I don't know. I was going to do research once I get the car so that'll give me time to blow anywhere from 1 to 2k on the coilovers. Which coilovers do you recommend getting?

KWv3 are abut the best that are readily available for our car that are not crazy expensive. $1800-$2000ish.

The subframe brace may fit perfectly with that exhaust, I don't know. It's just one cross piece that may interfere. Or it may not. I just took that piece off with I installed my exhaust. The brace is less effective that way though.

I was told that getting the fender braces installed will change the way the vehicle crushes in an event on a front-end collision. Our cars are designed and engineered to absorb impact in a certain way to prevent as much injury as possible. With these installed, the front end will not crush like how it was designed, and ultimately cause more bodily harm.

Unless you are going to track your car, I was advised not to get the fender braces put on.

Ok great, will go check them out. For the Tie Bar there's different variances which ones did you get? There's front lower, rear lower, and subframe tie braces. It almost sounds like the GTSpec Subframe Reinforcement Lower Frame Braces but just sold by pieces

Good call on the fender braces, might not be a good idea for unwanted bend in a crash. Thanks

I read up on one of the reviews for the fender braces stating it strengthen the material of the car which the manufactures left weaken on purpose for the crumple point. That's pretty crazy. Well, looks like the mods are a little cheaper. Save up for an exhaust. Now the debate is should I take it straight from the lot and have the mods installed, or drive it around first and then get the mods installed?

I think you should drive the car around for a bit then put on the mods. That way you can feel the difference in each of the mods you put in.
