Back glass

I think I'm losing it, I needed to clean my back glass. What's the trick with cleaning the glass behind the 3rd brake light? It's not sealed to the glass for some reason, it has a small area between the light and glass. It's obvious it needs cleaned behind it, but I can't get to it. Thanks for any advice for something so crazy I'm sure!?!

Get a ruler or something thin and wrap a piece of cloth around it and just figure it out from there

Yes, a very strange setup, most are usually attached with a seal to the glass, most don't clean the back glass, but I can't stand it. It's very obvious when the glass is cleaned and the part behind the glass is missed.
