I have a noticeable hum from my left front side which increases with speed. Has anyone ever experienced bad bearings with the G?

 

does it get louder under heavier braking? ive heard of wheel bearings going from people bumping curbs and such.

 

i have a 08 g37 coupe bought it used made tire noise bought new tires had it aligned left front making noise and tires cupping checked alignment again still in specs never wrecked no scuffs on wheels it took 6 months to start making noise any help would be greatful

 

Check the hub/bearing assembly for any roughness or gritty feeling. Check the axial end play and hub lateral runout

 

But yes, they do go bad, it's not uncommon.

 

On my '04 G the front bearings went out at about 78k miles. Made a humming/whub-whub sound that was worse when turning.

If you put the car up and spin the wheels by hand, you'll know.
