2012 infiniti g37 sedan Sport vs. Non-Sports? I need some recommendation...
I currently have 09 G37 Journey sedan and I am considering leasing 2012 G37 sedan but with Sports package.
I need some recommendation from the Sports driver.
How is the ride? Would you recommend it again? I live in LA and roads are ****ty here.
Thanks in advance.

The ride is a tad stiffer. But the ride from my 07 sport sedan to my new 11 sport sedan is a huge difference.
The ride on the newer sport sedan feel MUCH smoother to me. Get compliments on it all the time by passengers.
PLUS, you get all the extra goodies and not to mention that nice red "S"

I happen to have both....the non-Sport is my wife's car.
Here is a brief summary:
Visually I like the look of the S - a bit more aggressive.
Ride is just a bit tighter - but the non-sport is NOT floating down the highway... The shorter sidewall tires are probably the biggest contributor to the slight increase in impact harshness.
Brakes: ultimate stopping power is better in the Sport (I assume). But initial feel is slightly better in the non-sport. Non-sport 'bites' very high in the pedal travel.
Seats - Sport seats have more support and more adjustments. Also a bit more confining.
Steering - here is the biggest difference to me - the Sport has a faster steering ratio. To me - this makes it more fun-to-drive. Everything else is a marginal difference to me (just my opinion). But the faster steering ratio is the best part of the package to me!
Given the choice - I'd go with the sport. Ride is not significantly different to me. I think you will like it....go for it.

The biggest difference, IMO, is the seats. You should sit in both, as you may find the sport seats not to your liking (many found out AFTER purchasing the sport and regretted their decision because they didn't try it first).

Sport isn't very smooth over rough roads for sure. I'm not really a fan of the rims/tires, the high performance tires and short sidewalls make them a little louder and rougher than you'd expect from a luxury car.
The tires do help it take corners better, but I'd be willing to part with them. Neither the journey or sport rims really appeal to me, but the sport does look a little better due to the larger size and style.
Still think the sport is worth it though to me for the looks, upgraded brakes, paddle shifters, steering response, and seats. To add even a few of these options later would cost more than the package from the dealer.
Also if you want the tech package you have to get the sport due to Infiniti's stacking packages option, don't know if that is important to you or not.
Best advice is to drive both and see which you like. I think the seats are a little more comfortable in the non-sport, but I also feel like the sport seats sit lower which gives taller people like me more headroom. May be my imagination though.

I went with the non-sport, primarily because of the seats. That is the first thing I focus on when test driving a car. I couldn't get comfortable in them and I use the car for mostly long highway trips.
I had a BMW 5 series with their sport seats and those seats were the most comfortable and best fit, at least for me, of any car I've owned.
