Probably not (seems like a hassle), like the look of a dark chrome/gunmetal housings though. Think someone on the forum found out the Sport models came with darker headlights, but it is so subtle that you’d really have to look hard to notice.

...your thoughts on the custom route?

That's all true. It's a thing that's barely known and barely noticeable... but it is a Sport Package consideration, and it's real.

I'm not interested in a DIY project here either, although I'll never say never about it. Mostly I just want a darker housing... no halos or added lighting, just paint. And those little orange decals over the painted side reflectors that show off One Eighty. Assuming I'd pony up the big bucks to hire the experts.

Anyway, I asked because it's a much more noticeable thing on your black car than on my white sedan.

After 10 years and only 70K glorious miles, I just shipped my humble gal across the country to my schizophrenic step-father this week so he has something to get groceries. Ahhh the things we do for family... I just hope she takes care of him as well as she did me.

Mmmmmmm, the lines on a G sedan... oh how I'll miss you.

Yes, I encountered this years ago when I was buying a spare set of lights on ebay so I could send them off for customization. I didn't notice that I received two different housing colors at first, but then in certain lighting I noticed one of the housings was darker than the other. I ended up taking the part number off both headlights to my local dealer and they confirmed that the light with the darker housing was for a Sport model and the other one was off a non-sport. It didn't really matter to me at the time, since both housings were being painted anyway, but definitely something to keep in mind if you ever have to source a single replacement head light and you are super **** about everything matching... like me. LOL

Officially brought the G home last night, will post introductory post when I get a moment. 6MT FTW!

Now I need to find the OE Lip, Spoiler, and Midnight Grille.

That's a pretty deep wheel well for a sedan, looks great.
