As far as lowering, many options but Tein Basis Z seem to be the choice for a low cost coilover that isn't too firm and can be found for under $500 shipped to get just the height you want.
Yes. I do obviously like these wheels. Thus.....the purchase. Thanks for your opinion. I'm not sure which way I'm heading with the car just yet. I will post more pics with future mods. Peace!✌

On the upside, they perfectly hide the non-sport brakes better than any wheel ever could. And apparently the Infiniti center cap was transferable. And they should be super easy to clean... assuming you forgo cleaning all 32 of the little rectangular cut-outs.

But yeah, they're certainly odd. Not bad, per se, just... really odd.

Those wheels are definitely unique so props to you for trying something new. What are they and how much over 30lbs does one of those wheels weigh? Rochester is right that they do a great job covering up the brakes. However, they will probably not do a good job of helping to cool the brakes. Then again you probably bought them for looks, not performance.

Is that the Rotiform CCV? I thought about doing it in 18" because of the design to do more of a road course or road rally look. They'll look even better once the car is lowered

Nice ID, r2dmax!

Turns out the 19x8.5" CCV weighs in at 36 pounds. Holy guacamole!

Yeah, that was part of the reason I changed my mind. I've had heavy wheels before and didn't want to go through that.

Not cheap, but they probably have more experience on this mod than anyone on the planet, so you likely get what you pay for. Pretty sure you can get in and out for basic painting at $350 shipped. Once you start adding LED's, the cost curve gets steep.
Quoted me $550

Iron Man Orb
Matte black Housing
STI-R Lense (Only thing I really want)
Take off car /Re-install
Bake Open up headlights

Sounds about right.

Back out the iron man, STI-R lens, and the labor to remove/reinstall... should bring the cost down to the $300 range for a bake & paint. Add two-way shipping, and that's where I was thinking $350.

So seized calipers on the G, no engine in the Mini, and no wheel in the S2000(?) or what is the yellow car you have hiding in the corner?

Yup you got it right!

Mini engine just went off to the machine shop, S2000 wheel is getting reupholstered and the rear calipers on my G are seized. (hopefully the parts get here tomorrow)

Brakes are a mess. The pad burned off to nothing, then started going into the metal backing and its all melted and discollored. Then it ruined the stoptech rotor obviously, big grooves all over it. Had to give the car like half throttle just to move it.

Ouch. That was an unexpected slam, from you of all people. Maybe you can change his SN to GarageCrap.

On a side note, that G Sedan looks positively HUGE next to those little cars. And not for nothing, but I suspect that S2000 makes him happy, even if it's not in use at the moment.

lmao!

Yeah, I love that S2000. So much more fun than my G even with all its mods. Its so light and nimble. Its just been too cold to drive it though.
