Welcome to the forum, Evan. That looks horrible, buddy. Just awful. Were you trying to hide a worn out steering wheel? Given the pudgy nature of that wheel wrap, it would look a lot better if you didn't call attention to it, and used some color-matched thread.

You know, some Leathique, and a horse-hair applicator brush, I bet you can turn those seats back around to some kind of happy place. Good luck.

There, just like that. This looks proper. Although the surface finish is wearing off the plastics bad. That's a '07-'09 issue, isn't it?

Yea my stitching ability, and leather work sux but I like the way it feels, adds a nicer touch to the steering wheel. And yes it was pretty wore out on the top and sides from the previous owner. Only had 30k when I bought it. I'm a ASE certified technician not a professional upholster, it works good enough for me and what I use it for.

Oh no, my surface finish isn't wearing off. In that photo i had just finished steaming my wheel wrap to shrink-fit it. Your just seeing the leftover water residue. My trim parts are perfect since the dealer replaced them a few years ago under the recall / tsb thing.

Yep, after i stitched it i steamed it which helped shrink it to fit and make it nice and tight.

It really is a full weekend project. I took my time to get it looking OEM and pretty much perfect.

I also make and sell these steering wheel for people that want a great product without doing the labor themselves. You have no down time and I buy back your stock wheel.

Here is one review of many I have done:

The maxima wheels are just waiting to get new tires so they can go back on. 17s where in the budget at the time lol. So I went with new rubber for those. Soon the 19s will go back. Maybe even with color.

Thanks to everyone with the positive feedback. Makes me feel good that you guys like the G

Technically yes, but it's not exactly a color by number process. I'm sure others who have done this would agree. It's more like do research (an hour, maybe more), trial by fire, trial and error, adjust, fine tune. Plan for your wheel to be off your car for a whole weekend and 8-12 hours of labor for the stitching if you want it to look anything near OEM.

What size are those tires? They look a little bit wider than the stock size...

Your car looks great and I really need to know your tire size!
