These are my swithcbacks, very bright during the day for both white and orange and even brighter at night. Couldn't be happier with them. 6k Philips headlights, 6k switchbacks, 6k LED fogs

Here is also a quick night vid I did when I got them....please disregard the profanity at the end of the vid....it was intended for someone who was messing with me while I was filing.

That's weird that they alternate between white and amber. Is it supposed to do that?

Yes there are switchbacks that blink amber-white instead of amber-off.

I much prefer the "A-O" style for both aesthetics and safety. The ones above seem to have an odd flicker when signalling as well, not sure if they are meant to operate like that.

If you're shopping for switchbacks, make SURE you get AMBER-OFF. AMBER-WHITE looks terrible and like stated above, its a safety issue. Pretty sure a cop wouldn't be too pleased by it either.

Good lord. I ordered, and just received, "V3 TRITON WHITE AMBER SWITCHBACK 7443" thinking that meant it switched from white (when not blinking) to amber (when blinking). Are you guys saying I should have ordered "V3 TRITON AMBER SWITCHBACK 7443?"

Edit: Here's the link to what I ordered - http://www.vleds.com/bulb-type/turn-...443-1-set.html

The demo video here shows the white lights on, then goes amber/off when blinking. Which is what I want. I'm so confused. Is the amber/white alternating blink actually an intentional product of theirs, or just a way that it can be wired?

You're fine. It's white as DRL, then just amber flashing for turn signal.

Like MaQ said, you should be fine. This is exactly what I have on my car and they are 6K white for the headlight/DRL feature, but for the turn signal they flash Amber-Off-Amber... not white for the turn signal.

So I'm at the shop now, and the DD 5000k headlights look whiter than stock, but not as white as the DD 5000k fogs. The guy even tried a different 5000k headlight bulb (he doesn't know the brand) and they look whiter than he DDs.

Do the DD headlights take time to break in, and get whiter over time?

Edit - left side is done, right side is stock.

DD

Random bulb

Bulbs have a break in period, they will colorshift usually to a cooler hue. Will they colorshift to the pure white to match your fogs? Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell.

Another install question, the screws at the base of the V3 turn signals are slightly wider than the slot where the base locks in. Anyone else have issues with getting the bulbs locked in?

It's a tight fit, but it will work..just try to muscle it in. Also, you will have to test the gaskets to see which one will create a tight seal. This is probably the longest part of the install.

Be careful with the glass outer lens on the LED. I've had that pop off twice before. Once, inside the headlight.
