I was looking into getting a set of VFS2 and powder coating them gloss black. But that would've defeated the purpose.
On your G? I'd be guilty of still loving that look. But I guess I'm biased in that I basically want that exact look someday ha
Having black rims definitely takes a good bit of the attention away from how artsy and beautifully designed some wheels truly are. But Idk, I somehow never get tired of it when done right. Seeing Lobuzz's recent and amazing pics with those black coupe rims on his gray G has again reinforced this quite strongly for me.
Also GNTLMN, noticed you mentioned rear spats in your mod list but none of your pics of your rear end have em installed, got any pics of them?

Oh don't get me wrong, I LOVE the black wheels, etc look on KAD sedans. In fact, I'm going to be purchasing black wheels. I'm just thinking powder coating vossens gloss black would be a little overkill since they are so beautiful as is.

Lobuzz is literally just a few miles from me; still gotta meet up with him and check out his car!

Unfortunately, that's as good of a picture that I have right now. Car is at the shop getting some new upgrades! I'll do a little shoot when I get it back with a better look since in this pic the spat kind of blends with the Autokits-X diffuser.
I'm particularly digging the black treatment on your lower grill that creates a shark look.
Would you elaborate, please?
Sean
Thanks.
I've messed around with the idea quite a bit since getting the G. I've had it professionally done every time, but it's obviously a very easy & simple vinyl job.
The first time the guy cut the edges straight and a bit too far in from the lines that I wanted to blend it with. The second time, he did an awesome job of curving the lines to match, but went just a little too far up on the wing/blade looking part of the front lip.
Aside from the finer details of it, I've really liked the look and will be redoing it again soon. To me, it sort of changes the way that the front lip blends with the entire front end. I've grown to love the way the lines of it continue up through the lower grill, the center slats of the front grill, and then up into the open moonroof.

Awesome, thank you! Excited to see more! So are those the ones that are made for the pre-2010 rear ends? Kenstyle? If so, that diffuser does indeed seem blend them well, being a good thing.

You're very welcome sir. I'm excited to see my car too once I get it back! But no these spats are for 2010+ rear bumpers. Made by Successful Automotive out of SoCal. I absolutely LOVE the look. They'll tie in nicely with the side skirts once I find the time to install those.

Low is why my G is in the shop right now. Early birthday present to myself!
Still fine tuning the fitment on the new coils, new (to me) wheels and tires...but here it is: a work in progress (note to self: only change one thing at a time or you have too many moving pieces that need to be reconciled ). Looking back in a week or so, I hope to be looking at about 1/2" more gap in the back (rubbing over dips with more than one person in the G) and a bit more flush in the front (15mm spacers right now going to 20mm):

I seriously can't stop loving this setup you have Sean. It's so beautiful and elegant and the color gives it the perfect touch of aggressiveness so well. Truly a work of art man
