Yes dog died :/ I am aware that it could be totaled I just don't think the bumper replacement and whatever else the front end needs would cost more than $3000 done professionally... not sure about the dash and steering wheel work but I'm guessing that's not going to be cheap. If it is this may be my second g sedan to be totaled within 3 months of purchasing.

How many bags deployed? My Acura TSX was totaled based on the bags alone... the steering wheel, seat and side curtain bag went off. The insurance guy told me those alone were over $5k. Not including the actual front end damage it had.

The steering wheel and passenger dash airbag. And holy s***! Mine is probably totaled. I may be getting a rev-up coupe if it is totaled. Instead of buying another high mileage v36 since my budget. I'd much rather have a low mileage coupe. They are really nice to look at and have great aftermarket potential.

^ Just because the airbags deployed does not mean the car is totaled. It all depend on the insurance you have, the value of the car, and how safe your adjuster feels the car will be once it's repaired.

Here is my car in 2011 with both airbags deployed and it wasn't totalled:

Repairs were close to 17k at the time if I recall correctly. I really think it should've been totalled, but the adjuster thought otherwise. It was repaired to stock and drives quite well to this day

The Z Club of Houston and Houston Z's had a Christmas Party x Dyno Day at Jtran Motorsports this weekend:

Sorry to see that, maybe it's too early but do you have any plans as far as your next vehicle?
Hopefully you'll be staying w/ Infiniti.
G/L w/ the transition.

I wouldn't say its totaled just yet. I had the same price estimate for my car as well, granted my airbags did not deploy. I would definitely recommend taking the car to a shop you are comfortable with and never and i mean never ever ever ever let statefarm or any insurance company decide where your car goes to get repaired.

Unless you do know anyone or have anyone to trust, then I guess you can roll the dice by letting them pick who repairs it. Becuase when I got in an accident recently the insurance company wanted me to total the car but I took the car to someone i know to get the estimate done, and she fought with the insurance company as well as the license adjuster to allow her to fix it which she was able to. Which is an work in progress as we speak and Im doing a build thread on it. So you can see the damages in that part of the forum.

I will say that I've only held my breathe twice while driving the car. It was that time in 2011 when I wrecked and when I first did a 4th gear pull after my most recent tune!

If the body shop is cool and the parts you are going to get are a lot cheaper than the oem parts, then you may have some money left over to use toward G37 headlights. Those G37 headlights have got to be expensive though?!?

I did the same thing when I got hit in my '98 Subaru 2.5 RS. It needed a new rear bumper so I was able to upgrade to the STI ver5 parts since they were cheaper than stock.

Thanks. I will definitely stay with Infiniti. I'm not giving up hope yet lol I have been looking a lot at v35 coupes. I want to get a 6mt this time. Not sure though since I've already owned a v35 sedan. IMO, The g I just totaled was a whole different animal against my old v35 in terms of performance not a huge power difference but much smoother and I prefer the sound of the HR motor over the DE but not by much. Also love the interior look and new features with premium package. I just don't know how I could give up all that and go back to the old orange gauges and no nav (unless I'm lucky). The main reason I'm considering a coupe is because they look amazing when done right and have so many different combinations of body kits, exhausts, etc. What do you guys think about me switching from v36 5at to v35 6mt. Would I be happy with the switch and not disappointed? Also wondering if there is a big difference in the v35 sedans handling versus the coupe? I know it's made of mostly if not all the same parts and probably feels the same but does losing two doors make a huge difference or am I just dreaming?

I know i would be dissapointed going from a 2nd gen to a 1st gen. The 1st gen v35 interior is so dated and ugly at this point. On the outside they still look great but on the inside.... not so much.
