Is there was a way to completely disengage the AWD? I mean can a switch be used that would not allow the fronts to kick in when slipping? I'm thinking drifting action!! and maybe better MPG...??

Can't say I'm brave enough to try this...though I'm really tempted!

 

To test it out just unplug the AWD control unit. It worked for me on a 2007 g35x. You don't have to cut any wires unless you want to install a switch.

I think I'd like to try this, but I've got to ask the obvious question... exactly where might that control unit be in a 2011 G37x? I'm thinking I'd better know exactly what to look for before I start haphazardly disconnecting stuff.
