Crackling sounds from front windsheild and a big hit once and a while from second to first gear while slowing down.

Turn the stereo up and never slow down!

(You had to know that was coming )

 

Get the transmission reflashed and it may help the rough downshift. The windshield rattle can be solved by taking it to the dealer. they will put some insulation by the windshield wiper motor or something around there. I had that problem too.
