Fair price for CPO 2010 G37x

Kelley bluebook value for a 2010 G37x w/ nav & premium package with ~27K miles is 32.5K but the dealer wants close to $34K. The dealer is Herb Chambers and they have what is called "smart pricing" which means there is no negotiations supposedly. Anyone ever deal with this dealership in Massachusetts?

I could get similar vehicle from a private dealer with 15K miles for $31.5K but obviously a lot more headaches with a private sale.

Any thoughts?

Looks like the dealer is trying to run a museum. About 1,500 below kbb would be the most I would pay.

bloew, when your doing kbb make sure to check the CPO kbb price. But any dealer that does not negotiate on used cars I would find an alternative

That seems a bit high for a car with that much mileage. In June I bought a 2010 sedan with under 13k for $32.7. I'd be suprised if Herb Chambers didn't negotiate since their list prices tend to be on the high side. I found out from an Inifiniti salesman that the dealers try to scoop up preowned cars from non Infiniti dealerships as it keeps buyers locked into their dealerships, and they can get more for them since the folks who come there are shopping that brand. There is some industry term for this practice but I forget what he called it. On Autotrader I found that the best prices for used cars was at non Infiniti dealerships. I got mine at a Honda dealer in Nashua. I rushed up to buy the car after I realized I spilled its existence to Infiniti of Norwood and was afraid they would grab it up before I could. You might want to keep looking, or if you are not in a rush, wait until the 2012's come out and see how you can do on a left over 2011. Last year there was a 3k incentive when the 2011's came out, don't know if the Tsunami will make that less likely this year.

If your in the Boston area, Herb Chambers and Infiniti of Norwood have the no haggle policy on their used cars. You should check out Prime Infiniti although their dealership is smaller compared to the other Infiniti dealers. When I got my first G there, they allowed me to negotiate and CPO was included.

Funny, I recently bought a used G37x from HC. I can confirm, no negotiations on used selling price except the $400 coupon you can get from their website. I did decent on my trade with them if that is in play for you. If you really like the car your best bet is to play into their strength (size), have them touch up any issues with the paint or wheels. Replace any worn interior/exterior pieces, make sure you get 2 keys, etc. You are buying some peace of mind as they have the 3 and 30 day return policies. You can also try to wait them out as the used car prices there do drop if a car sits but it seems that the nicer G's do turn over fairly quickly. If buying at the Boston dealer make sure you check the passenger side wheels and bumpers for damage, city parking can be hard on a car.

Sounds like kind of a lot to me. I just picked up my CPO 2010 G37 with premium, sport, and navigation with only 16,000 miles for only $32k. I just picked it up a month ago so that does sound pretty high.

Well, my 2011 brand new with Prem., NAV, interior accents and 18" performance wheel/tire package, splash guards and trunk package was about $38,000 (Sticker $41,700). Goes without saying has 60k mile warranty. So $34k seems high to me for what you are considering.

I just bought a used 2011 G37Xs with 12k miles from Norwood.
I've bought 2 cars from them before, so they discounted it by $1k.
I usually deal directly with the sales manager Adam.

Thanks everyone. They wouldn't budge so I went with a new 2011 with prem & navi with some extras for ~38K from Nashua. Additionally the guy was extremely knowledgable and was a pleasure to deal wiith.
