I'm all for getting a gopro or this type of camera in the car, but I know with my luck I'll probably get into more trouble than I would have normally(means getting into an accident). So I'll stay away and I'm sure there are other people who feel the same

I wonder...does the car computer record if your vehicle is still or moving when there is an 'accident' and if so, how would you extract the info?
I suspect (if there is a record in the car) that you might have to be hit harder than the scammer in the video did?

I got one of the $50 dash came model last week. The image quality is not that high, but useable. I looked into getting a Gopro, but it does not have the loop recording function like a dash cam. The $200 unit should be here next week, it supposed to have better video quality. I actually enjoy watching my driving footage, so this is a toy with a purpose.
