There was an article not so long ago in japan that mentioned with the release of the R36 GTR, the V37 Skyline (currently its the V36), will inherit parts from the R35 GTR, such as the floor mats and radio antenna.

The lug nuts will be passed down, also.

I read an article few months ago when i used to own a 06 BMW 3 series. My original plan was to buy the new 3 series coming out in 2012...then I read an article which stated that it was delayed to 2013 model and infiniti is also delaying it's G model.

The article did not say the reasons though. but they guessed to see where the industry will go in terms of engines....turbo 4 as entry level and turbo V6 as premium or something. The article was through BMWBlog.com

My guess is they will probably use the GTR engine but without the turbos and with higher compression.

This would reduce engine variation in manufacturing and save them money. Mass produce the 3.8L v6.

Would be cool to get 350 -360 hp from the next gen G cars.

I thought Infiniti was on a 6 year design cycle. 3 years mid gen face lift.
