2012 G - What do we know?

I'm assuming...and hoping that the 2012 G is a new model. We're already 5 full model years into the current G.

Anybody heard anything? Nissan is usually VERY quiet about new cars.

We probably won't see a new G until a 2013 model.

Infiniti might do what they did with the M. Keep the 2012 G the same as the 2011 and then release the 2013 model in early 2012.

If it was a 2012 model (to be released later this year) I'd assume they'd be showcasing it by now at various auto shows. The next major show is Geneva starting March 1, the New York on April 20, Frankfurt on September 13 and Tokyo on November 30.

Considering the recent facelifts all the models got I doubt we can be expecting anything completly new for atleast 1-2 years.

I hope they go away from the oval theme, it's getting old.

being an old guy here, I remember when Datsun released a 74-1/2 260Z in late 1974. Visually, you could see the bumper size was wider and I wanted one sooooo bad! I was still too young to drive then though. That's the only car I know that was actually branded with the 1/2 at the dealership.

Not sure if Nissan/Infiniti still uses that type of mentality when redesigning their lineup but I feel like a body style change is coming for 2012.
