i own 2 infiniti's
2009 G37 convertible and 2010 G37x sedan.
The convertible was hit 3 months ago into a parking lot because the other driver didn't pull the handbreake and the car rolled into my G37.
I toke it to the dealer and they replaced the driver's door and repaint the damaged area.
i asked the dealer about the paint they use and they told me that infiniti dont provide them the original paint. Still, knowing that the original paint and clear coat is made by Duplicolor (i also knew that long before) they will use same brand and match the collor.
About the clear coat, they cant get the original scratch shield but they use a product that is very similar.

3 weeks ago, my g37x sedan was rear ended. they replaced the rear bumper and repaint it.
Same story about the paint and clear coat.

The only difference is on the clear coat. the new clear coat luck's alittle more shiny than the original one. but you have to luck very carefully to see that.

I live in Europe and here the 2009 AND 2010 G37 got the scratch shield.
I have that sticker on both cars.

AS long as the car looks good when you turn it in, it will be OK, the dealer will just let it go to auction anyway.

I think these cars Have Magnets on the back of them. Someone in a 94 acura integra rear-ended me yesterday morning while i was on my way to get my car seviced. Luckily the damage was limited to scratches on the bumper cover. Both sonar sensors on that side work fine. Hopefully their is no internal damage when the bumper comes off. ugh car is less than 3 months old.

That really sucks man, I feel your pain.
I think the problem is that the car is just so beautiful, that the people driving behind us become mesmerized with that beauty and forget to brake. Just a theory
