G Missing Nut

I had the same thing happen to me. I brought the car to the dealer and the nut was replaced.

I think you nailed it. I wouldn't be surprised if it's linked to that repair place... they have access to the unlocking socket, the customer's address and car info, they pass it on to interested parties...

why would they only prep one wheel to be stolen? this would make sense if all the locks were missing but since its only one, i dont think its any sort of wheel stealing conspiracy

More than likely the person installing the locking nut forgot to torque it down, or something about not getting the key engaged properly. Either that or the nuts themselves have a problem with the thread quality.
