I came from a 2000 accord v6 ex coupe i still drive but put the g37x in garage April of this year. coming from Honda i always wanted the acura TL and that was going to be my next car i thought for sure. then i saw the infiniti was in the same price range and had 328 hp :-). once i test drove both and read some reviews it was a no brainer. Im very happy with this car

that's sure a quick draw of the car change...

not to blaspheme. I'd get the new TSX, if you can get the 09 the same price as a the g35 2008. the 08 g35 sedan are like 28 or something now... the TSXs when pushed to the limit is a really fun car to drive. they handle great, better than the previous gen

the g37 sedan is an 09. Oddly enough, you'll have some fun finding one spec'd the say you want. They're a little hard to come by, plenty of 08s G35s tho.

but yeah if you want money for value the camaro is pretty beefy car for your money.

the TL would come in at the cheapest. You can get the TL for 24 easily even the typeS.

the G35 is a great car tho. you're not gaining anything on the fuel eco side. but def the fastest out of the bunch.

maintenance wise, they're all about the same. the Accord and the TL have the same engine... the TSX k24 engine is rock solid, so is the VQ

i came from an 04 tsx, and i loved, loved that car! i havent driven the new tsx, but if it's anywhere near as fun as the previous gen, you can't go wrong esp considering the price point. additionally, i hear the upgraded sound system is awesome and has a lot of tech functions.

the tl and g are nice, too. but theyre bigger cars with higher costs. like others have said, i would test drive them all b4 deciding what you like best. coming from a prev gen tsx, the new G has surpassed all my expectations and im very happy with my choice. my 2nd choice was an 2010 audi a4 believe it or not, but at the time the G proved a better deal.

Of course, if you ask in an Acura forum the answers may be a bit different.

Personally I wanted the superior handling of the RWD and the extra HP. Those factors add up to a clear winner for the G in the fun to drive category. According to Consumer Reports, the predicted reliability should be about equal, maybe with a slight edge to Acura. But that usually comes down to luck.

As for comfort, you'll have to test drive them yourself. I think you'll answer the question for yourself fairly easily once you've driven them both long enough.

Sedans were all G35s up to 2008, by the way. The first G37 sedan year was 2009. I had a G35 sedan loaner and found it to be a bit less roomy -- honestly I didn't like it as much, but that was probably also because it was a base 5AT without the options I have. Once you get used to that stuff it becomes a big disappointment without it. Nevertheless, if it's feasible for you, in my opinion the G37 sedan is a huge improvement over the 35.

My ranking would be
1. G
2. TL
3. TSX

My first thought: Keep the Accord V6. I had three Accords - 2002 EX V6 coupe, 2004 EX V6 coupe, and 2006 EX V6 sedan ... I still miss the overall balance of the 2006 V6 sedan WRT power, efficiency, and handling. Sure - it's not the most stunning body style (the G takes the gold in that category) or does it have most most panache, but the Accord V6 always gave me 22-25 mpg despite driving it like a Formula 1 racer (ironically, fuel economy is something I value). It handled good enough, and its steering rack and road feel is still something I miss. And it took 87 regular gas. It was just a very simple, very good car. And I think I really enjoyed the overall "sleeper" feel of it ... a bland jelly bean whose engine was amazing and IMO really ripped. If you really enjoy the V-tech power curve of the 2007 V6 (changed in 2006 from previous years) ... consider carefully.

With the G, I actually found it more difficult to enjoy the car and engine because it was SO fast. In the Accord V6, I could really step on it and enjoy the upper register of the motor without catapulting myself down the block - in the G35 ... not so much ... only because I don't have the roads to enjoy that kind of speed. Depends on how you look at it ... and how you drive ... and what you value.

I do thoroughly enjoy my G37xS (and also my 2008 G35xS) ... but it's very different ... a lot more expensive! I went for the G back in 2008 because I wanted a nicer car and an integrated navi/bluetooth system which is something the Accord began to offer at that point but the cost (for an Accord) was too high IMO.

I do think you'll be happy with a 2007-08 G. Don't do a 4-cylinder TSX!! (unless fuel economy is high on your priority list) The TL is nice but that generation of body style didn't hold as well as the G has IMO.

Good luck!!!

I had an 07 G35 Sedan and now an 09 G37, I definately wouldn't say the G37 is a huge improvement, the only thing I think really tilts the 37 over the 35 is the fuel economy (i get 2-3 mpg better in the 37) overall interior noise, and the steering wheel/door trim plastic. The 37 has a different mirror profile and the sunroof deflector is better so it tends to be quieter in the cabin. I still miss the solid shifting of my 5spd auto compared to the 7spd, the 7spd hunts a bit too much whereas the 5spd seemed to always be in the right gear at all times. If you were comparing the 6spd manuals then yes the 37 is a huge improvement though. Infiniti did use a different (solid black) steering wheel/door trim plastic on the 37 so it no longer peels off over time.
The paint still sucks on both vehicles . But i still would take the G over the TL & certainly the TSX.

Yeah, you're probably right -- like I said I didn't exactly have an equal comparison. The size factor for whatever reason made a big impression on me.
