I think it looks really good. Good idea. I will be doing the same thing soon along with tinted taillights.

OK, where can I get the Vinyl and how much trial and error was involved to get the size right?

Vinyl seems too labor intensive... just PlastiDip the bitch. If you want chome frame, mask it off.

edit: whoa, just realized that this was a year old and not a couple days...

Sorry for the year later reply, but do you know about how big you cut out for each peice? I tried a template, and it had a lot of wrinkles in it, so I'm also worried about the vinyl having a lot of wrinkles...any tips how you did this?

Don't wrap it one slat at a time, check this thread for Snipers' pics (reply 10) and my wrap (reply 20)
https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...ing-grill.html
Just cover entire grill w/ vinyl, apply heat between the slats while you aggressively push the vinyl between the spaces. Start at the top, heat and push between the first gap to get enough stretch to cover the TOP of the slat. Cut 1/8" below the slat to wrap just a little on the underside, the rest goes on top of the next slat and this needs to be enough to cover entire top surface. HTHs

Thanks! Will be buying some 3m Scotchprint off ebay and trying this soon...wish me luck!

Oh, and any issues with taking it off later? Or just go-gone all the adhesive off?

Auto Vinyl Solutions FTW
and yes, it'll peel right off up until about 4-5 years, then it may leave residue
