Tech package is rare. When I bought mine, I was convinced that I wanted it, and got "unconvinced" once I realized that it would mean waiting.

Other than the rain-sensing wipers, I have little use for the other items in the package. And based on what I've seen with other cars, the rain sensing wipers are hit or miss...they might work great, or they might seem to be victims of demonic possession.

Not worth the extra $$ for me, but YMMV.

My car's driver has rain-sensing eyes installed. And the wipers always get activated at the right time.

Seriously, though -- I do use the "speed sensing wiper interval" feature that can be enabled in the console settings. That doesn't seem to do anything. I'm guessing that's why the feature is off by default and buried away in a settings menu somewhere; it probably wasn't really ready for prime-time.

Is it worth it? No.
Would I cry if I suddenly lost my ICC and nifty headlights? Yes.

I had the tech package on my '07 FX35. I hated the ICC (maybe its been smoothed out since 07). When I used cruise control, I always used the regular cruice. I also didn't care for the lane departure warning system. To me, I had it and never used it, so I couldn't warrant adding it on my '10 G37. (Though I don't think the g37 has Lane departure warning)

But it's all personal preference. If you think you won't enjoy your car without tech, then anything we say should be considered worthless. We're not driving it.

I have it on my 35 sedan, do i like the added features? Yes. Would i get it again, no.

When the 2nd gens first came out, the tech package included the back-up camera -- the biggest reason for getting the Tech.

Cruise control is a pain on crowded highways, but ICC is great. No need to slow down or speed up for traffic, the ICC does it automatically for you. A real luxury feature, and a must have for me.

Only 2% of our cars have the Tech package, it is the rarest option.

Sweet, I have the tech package...I like it! How much was it new from the factory? I bought mine used...I personally like AFS and ICC.

But I didn't see it coming with rain sensing wipers, or is that post-08?

Do you need the teck package for the rain sensing wipers? I have about everything else possible and while one doesn't need it...I love it.

Can you accesss the rain sensors w/o the tech...and how does one do it?

For 2010, rain senors are part of the tech package. Pre-2010, rain sensing wipers were not availabe to my knowledge.

I wanted tech for my '10, unfortunately as I got mine in January tech was hard to come by. I did not care much for the nifty lights, I had these in my 07 IS250 and saw no use for them when I moved to the 08 G35. I say get the tech for the auto wipers and the upgraded air con. In addition its good for bragging rights, you got it flaunt it

Also that feature warns you not to use windshield rain treatment like Rain-X as it may affect the way the sensors operate. I cannot live without windshield treatment.
