new bike rack option

has anybody tried one of these on a G37 sedan yet? Seems like a pretty nice solution for a bike rack, since no roof rack is available for the car.

oh - also, I stand corrected, seems Thule does make a roof rack system for the G37 sedan now. $300. That would be a better option for me. I have all of the attachments needed already... Sweet. Anybody try the Thule roof rack system yet?

No - but when I bought my car, Infiniti guy gave me a card for "Rack Attack" in Denver and I called them. At the time they said that was the only one they knew about that would fit. Normally, I take my Merlin apart and put it in a Thule hard case and transport that way (and as you probably know the work involved, I don't do that unless we are going on a lonngg trip).

ya - I take a different car when I want my bike

I supposed by taking the rear wheel off it would fit in the trunk, but even that is too much hassle for me.

Good to see Thule finally came up with a fitment. I will surely pick one of those up at some point.

Not sure where you race (assuming c4racer means cat 4 racer) but if you are inclined to come to Laramie WY for the Dead Dog Classic Memorial Stage Race let me know and I could arrange for a discount as I am the CoPromoter and technical director, 3 stages of tough hi altitude racing in two days. 400+ racers in the best stage race along the front range of the Rockies. Min altitude 7200 max 10800!

Oh no - no bike racing for me. I would be about a Cat9 I supposed

C4 stands for the C4 or gen4 Corvettes made from 1985-1996
I had a '91 that I raced for awhile and that became my handle and I just stuck with it. Had a CA plate C4RACER for it when it was still a street car.
