Well okay, #1 probably wouldn't be an "simple fix" but having the option would be nice.
My '11 G37x has auto door locks. Or do you define that differently than the way these work?

I think he was saying that if the maxima had the g37's engine and drive train it would be the perfect car. That would be the M37 if your looking for the room and features of a loaded maxima.

Perhaps someone disabled your auto door locking. If you want it on/off follow this to enable/disable the feature.

It was Almatti. He hates the 7AT part of the G37 drive train.

Thank you TRCB 777. Yes that is what I am saying.

I really like this car. You are right the driving experience is totally different and much much better.
All I was trying to say also is for $6000 you would think a few more options would be available.
I just miss the little things that made the Maxima a nice car to drive and the convenience.
I guess because i had them i miss them.

A couple of big ones for me:

A) Reverse tilt down side mirrors...With rims at almost $1000 or more, I would pay double for this options. Never once ding my rims on the Maxima

B) A Live 12 volt outlet when the car is off...come on this is just common sense.

C) Heated steering wheel. I am going to miss that.

D) Cool seats. Going to miss that one too.

These are only the ones I really do miss. I am sure at $6000 +, It would of cost Infiniti peanuts to make these options part of their packages.
Like I said we are all paying for the INFINITI name.....but I really like my car. Just thinking out loud and think Infiniti could of put just a little more into a great car and made it almost perfect.
That's all I'm saying.

The person that designed the cupholders .............should be FIRED !! Sorry but they suck.

Thank you all for listening and I am sure they are plenty of people on here that would agree...

I get what you're saying but I'm not paying for the Infiniti name but the Infiniti performance. To me the premium you pay for an Infiniti (and it's not close to $6K where I live) is more than worth it over a Maxima. It's classified as a sport sedan and for that sporty nature they have to cut elsewhere in costs. To me a G is one of the best bangs for your buck (as is the Maxima for certain buyers who value luxery over driving dynamics) especially with what a 3 series costs you with similar options.

You could get a fully loaded Sonata with almost as many options as a Maxima for a lot less but it doesn't mean that Nissan is ripping off thier customers. The premium you pay for a Maxima is for the power and looks over a Sonata and that is worth it for many people. The argument could be made against almost any car.

I only have 1 complaint:

1) Whenever i do not have a passenger in the car, the metal from the seatbelt dangles and clicks and clacks against the plastic pillar by the rear passenger side window. I constantly have to reach across the passenger seat and lift the arm up, so as to keep the metal from the seatbelt from clickclacking against the pillar.

That is my 1 and only complaint. Other than that, the car has been sweeeeet to

Sorry about the lack of clarity. The automatic locking when you start moving is a nice feature. The Mazda I had would lock the doors AFTER the car was shutdown and my key FOB was out of range. I never had to think "Did I remember to push the lock button?"

All valid except B. Dang, 528 has this and I just hate it. It's a major source for dead battery. The car wouldn't go to sleep mode if I have something plugged in. Maybe it's just a stupid design or a software bug with that car. Anyway...

That's an annoyance as I've walked away and walked back to the car expecting it to be unlocked.

So I like the auto-lock when moving feature, but do not want the car to auto lock the doors when they are unlocked under any circumstance. I never forget to push the lock button.

I drove my buddies Max once and the CVT put me to sleep, it kills all connection to the road and being that the Maxima has 2 strikes against it already with FWD and numb steering then it almost becomes your Dad's old Buick in new sheetmetal. Comfortable and lifeless. I never thought a 290HP car could be so boring but then the G may have spoiled me.

A G is for people who like to drive. The Maxima is a good car for people who have to drive. I'll pay the extra on top for that anytime and you get 4WD as a bonus.
I always kinda liked the Maxima. Yes, it's not as sporty as the G. But, I think that it has plenty of pep, and if you get the sports package, the brakes are just as good as in the base/AWD G and it handles pretty well for a front wheel drive car too. It's much more comfortable on long drives than the G. The main reason I didn't get one was the CVT. It's the worst thing ever. It killed an otherwise very decent car. If not for CVT, deciding between a Maxima, an Accord and a Camry would've been a no brainer.

1 - It's not the best, but not the worst. I can live with that.
2 - How often do you actually get into that menu? I can live with that.
3 - Like on a Town car?
4 - I agree
5 - I agree
6 - Why would you need this? The back up camera has guiding lines to help you not maneuver the car and get to the curb without getting curb rash. I wouldn't want my mirrors to point towards the ground when backing up, that's dangerous.

I know this isn't a huge complaint but if I'm listening to a podcast or song on my iPod and I answer a call that comes in via Bluetooth, the podcast doesn't stop when I answer the call and short of unplugging the USB I can't figure out how to change this.
