FOB key dying maybe?
When I got out of my car tonight I went to lock my doors by pressing my key like I always do. For some reason tonight when I hit lock the doors wouldn't lock for some reason and I had to hit the button about 5 times until the car locked. The key is only about 2 months old. Could the battery be going dead that fast? Why didn't it lock the first time I pressed lock like I always do you think?

Yes I have tint on my car. Ha there is no way tint would get in the way of locking doors..when I hit the lock button the key was in my pocket I don't know if that has anything to do with it trying to lock it in your pocket?
the only thing i can say is maybe the keyfob was touching your cell phone and your cell was getting either data signal or you are on the cell phone to interfere w/ your key....

Can I ask why you used the ikey button to lock your doors? IMO, it's easier to push the button on the door since you hand is already on there to close it.
No need to dig through your pockets to push the button unless you are too far away from the car to push the door button.

That's not how I understand it.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this is from the owner's manual. I'm cutting and pasting from Page 2-28 of a PDF file of the manual:

The system can be armed even if the windows
are open.

That to me tells me that using the button on the door handle will lock the car. The PDF I have is for both the Coupe and Sedan, as is the paper book in my glove box.

definitely check this, a cell phone can mess with your key fob (just keep them in different pockets)

aaaaaaand NO. you dont. the factory alarm automatically arms itself when the doors are locked for >1 min. it has nothing to do with which method is used to lock the doors.
