Something weird happened
Was driving my 09 g37x sedan around 40-45mph, then pressed the gas to speed up and the car started to feel like its stalling and rpms wouldnt go above 2.5k. Felt like the MAF failed, but no CEL. Pulled over to the side of the road, turned off the engine and then turned back on - felt like it had no power, every time i rev it goes to 2.5k and the car shakes a bit and thats it. Turned off the engine again - waited a minute - turned back on and everything was fine....
My thought was that maybe i pressed the gas right as it was shifting gears or doing something else and i "confused" the ecu somehow.. but thats a complete guess.
anyways, this was a one time happening and hope it stays that way.
Anyone ever experience anything like this or have any input on this?

Have your dealer check it out for error codes.
I what seems to be a similar problem

You experienced the ECM shifting to 'limp mode'. When retain codes or parameters are reached, the ECM may determine that continued high RPM operation may be dangerous to the longevity of the VQ37VHR. By limiting revs and output, it may limit potential damage.
The ECM holds any codes in memory (even if it doesn't trip a CEL), so report that to the dealer and have them check it under warranty.
