New 09 G37xS...

I just picked up my new g37xS sedan a couple weeks ago. The car is Awesome! I love it. I just have a couple questions about the car that I couldn't figure out. First with the auto seat memory. I have set the car on seat memory 1 to my adjustments. I have noticed when i start the car up it will move to my settings which i want. if i press the number "1" button sometimes the wheel or the seat might move slightly like it was not set to my position after turning the car on. other times when i press it the seat or wheel wont move an inch. I was wondering why that happens sometimes. Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

Are you certain that your seat settings were committed to memory? You'll see the '1' button flash twice after you set it. After that, it'll go to those settings when you push the '1' button when the G37xS is set in park.

Sounds like you have the memory on a particular setting. My G37xS DS moves to the '1' or '2' seat settings immediately after start up. No fuss, no mess...

My 6MT car will only move when you press the memory button if the parking brake is on. The Automatic Trans model probably has a similar interlock.

so when you start the car up and it is in park and you press the number "1" should the seat or wheel move?

You maybe putting the car in drive to fast. Once you start the car it takes a moment to move everything. I have foud if you jump to fast and put it in gear the seat and steering wheel never adjust completly.
Another item of note, if you get in your car a little too stiff legged and put to much downward/backward pressure on the seat it will stop its adjustment as well.

Do you have the wheel & seat "auto retract" setting engaged? This will move the seat back and the wheel up when you exit the vehicle and stay retracted until you re-enter the car. If you're a big guy the retract settings may not move the wheel & seat too much. Sounds like maybe that's what's occurring. It's a nice feature if you like it, drove me nuts though so I just dis-engaged this option.

I just can't figure out why sometimes the seat or wheel moves a tiny bit about less than an inch maybe when i hit 1 and other times i hit 1 it does not move. its like half the time i get into the car and start it up the seat adjust perfect and the other times i need to hit "1" to put it into my setting. I know nothing is wrong with the memory settings either the car is 2 weeks old but i cant figure it out

Infiniti7 - sorry this is off topic, and is a somewhat of a random question. Since you have 18s due to the sport package, i was wondering if its a staggered set like the non-x models. are your tires all same size?

Thanks and congrats on the purchase!
