yes thats the sound i'm getting when i turn of my g. Is that sound normal? I have an 09 g37xS with 2k miles. Does everyone have that same pop and crackle noise when you shut off the car or is something wrong with my car? My bro have an 08 g35xS and it doesn't make that sound.

no its not my first car..my previous car was an 06 g35 coupe and it made a similar sound but worst...So will this sound go away after i put some more miles on it? or thats just the way the car is?

 

it will go away after time. It's the catalitic convertor (which is very hot) cooling down. Not sure why but the sound goes away (In my experience on other cars).

 

SpookyG, I have an 09Xs too. When I shut if off it cracks and pops and makes
that high pitched "dink" just like a hot motorcycle makes as it cools off. ....Jon
