Does the 07 G35x handle the same as 09 G37x?

Greetings:

I have intention to purchase 09 G37x. The dealer has scheduled an extended test drive of an 07 G35x this coming Saturday. The sale person told me that it is exactly the same car as 09 G37x with exception that the G37x has a more powerful engine, with a 7 speed automatic, different body and interior style. The road handling should be the same. Is this true?

It is good to test drive a pre-own because you can hear how quiet the car is and if there is any rattling noise.

Thanks for your time and help.

Very similar? yes. Identical? no.

You'd have to be pushing the car pretty hard to feel the weight balance difference, and have the skill of an extremely experienced amateur, or a profesional.

Is that all that is different? The inside, outside, engine and transmission. Sounds almost like a twin.

If you have no intention of getting a G37, why does it matter? Test drive the G35 and if you like it buy it. Get a different salesman though.

I have the '09 37xS and the '08 35x in the garage and actually they drive VERY similarly -- the 18's on my car make the 37xS a bit stiffer but all in all, they drive very similarly.

If you need to save the cash and go with an '07 -- you will NOT be disappointed (givent he '07 is up to par with what a used car should be for you)

Thank you all for your time and comments.

Elite & Shumby:

I don't understand your comments "...MAn you got a 9.7 letre engine in your G wow". I don't understand why I am a "Jackass" (I guess the OP is too). I re-read my posting many times and still don't see what's wrong with it. I would appreciate if you or someone can spare some time to explain, so I won't make these mistakes in the future.

KLB:

I really do want to buy a 09 G37x. I have an appointment with the sale rep on 05/23 to discuss about pricing, trade-in value etc. I will definitely get one if 3 conditions are met, basic G37x, $32K max, trade-in value for my 05 LGT $10~10.5k. I can't get an used one since I need to put the 3M paint protection around the car.

The tiltle of your thread is:
"Does the 07 G35x handle the same as 09 G97x?"

No biggie but you can't edit spelling spelling mistakes in a title of a thread once it's up. You can try it but the system never save it. I have one I can't change.

good luck but why not worry about seeing what you get on your trades before you get your hopes up?
