Is the break in period 1000 or 1200 miles? The owner's manual says it's 1200 miles even though it's typically 1000 miles.

Coolio.

I've recently heard the engines are already broken in when you buy them. Although i waited for about 1000ish miles too (about a year-and-a-half ago). If anything, for the 6MT guys, you'd have to properly break-in the clutch.

Can you elaborate on how to break-in the clutch?

Just drive normal. No crazy 3,000+ rpm clutch drops. No "feathering" the clutch. No keeping your car in place on an incline by holding the clutch and accelerator at a certain point (Shouldn't really ever do that). No hard or sudden downshifts. Just baby it for the first 500ish miles and you'll be alright.

Our clutches naturally have a chatter to them, but it could be reduced when the clutch is broken in properly too.
