Variable Steering Ratio

I've read both positive and negative opinions about the G37's variable steering ratio elsewhere but in these forums there has not been much discussion on it. What is your opinion?

I am still in the break-in period and I am not driving hard but in few instances where I sinned, I was totally awe struck how the steering got soooo tight and responsive to directional input. I cannot wait until the break-in is over so that I can really enjoy this particular aspect of G37

I dont know exactly what your talking about, but if its about the Steering Radius, meaning how much you can turn, I think the car doesnt handle like it should, If I want to do a U-Turn, it doesnt feel like a boat, but it doesnt exactly feel like a sports car..

Some cars have variable-ratio steering, which uses a rack-and-pinion gearset that has a different tooth pitch (number of teeth per inch) in the center than it has on the outside. This makes the car respond quickly when starting a turn (the rack is near the center), and also reduces effort near the wheel's turning limits.
