helping a friend do a low temp install Z1 thermostat

He has a 2008G37 coupe sport Manual, trans

There’s also a long tube that came out with two black orings on the end of each of it. Everything came out dry since we already drained the coolant, but not what I was expecting at all for install.


Did the G37 coupes get a different style thermostat?

 

I, LITERALLY, just finished replacing the thermostat this morning (post)
Those are two entirely different parts:

 

yep, just figured it out for some reason. I thought the thermostat was up top but it’s by the bottom hose live and learn I guess lol

 

Pack your patience. It is a royal PITA job.

 

Not really. Helps if you have not too big hands and a electric rachet.

 

It was no cake walk in Covent Garden that much I can attest.

It's all relative, though. The job is done and will likely outlive me.
