Replaced my alt 4 months ago and its not working again and battery goin to 9 volts while running, WHY WHY tired of rioping the front end apart for stuff

 

Go oem on the alternator. Aftermarket alternators are iffy. My first refurbished one lasted 2 months. My homeboy bought a new one that was dead on arrival.

 

Its a brutal install. Denso is the only refurb id go with

 

Are you still running the stock "smart charging" system?
If so, make sure your main ground going through the Amp sensor ring.
And any grounding kit cables aren't circumnavigating the sensor.

Had all kinds of issues until I bypassed/eliminated the "smart" part.
Only had to cut one wire too.
