AV unit doesn't let me add a phone
I have a 2015 q60s Limited with Navigation. Since I bought it in August, the bluetooth has not worked. I initially took it to the dealer after I looked up every video. When I talked to "technology specialist" on the phone, he made it sound like it was something they could fix. They kept my car for 3 days and then told me I needed the whole unit replaced to the tune of over $2,000.
Everything else works but the bluetooth. When I am on the menu to try and go to phone that section is not availble to scroll to or push on the touch screen. The phone buttons on the steering wheel do nothing. So my question to the community is do I need to replace the whole AV unit or can I by a used OEM communications module, and it will be plug and play?
Any input would be appreciated. Also, if you have recommendations on aftermarket stereos that are not tesla screens and come with their own bluetooth module, I would love to hear about them.
Thanks in advance!
