How to replace part 80833-JL00A side mirror triangle weather strip
I recently installed this part since the original one was broken at the top and was getting water in. However, I didn't find any instruction on how to install this part and now whenever my window goes down and back up it wont go straight up through the weatherstrip instead it will crash into it and almost rip it apart so I'm not sure if I missed a step. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
You can NOT replace the corner support seal without removing the corner support frame from the door:
Once you remove the door panel and the mirror, there are three (3) bolts that, once removed, will allow the corner support frame to slide up. Once removed, only then can you replace the seal.
In the following pics, you can see that there are several tabs and pins that have to be locked into the mirror support frame. If the seal is not secured to the frame the windows will destroy the new seals- as you are experiencing now:
Thank you so much! I had no idea about the corner support! I did get the 2 upper tabs and pins in, but the bottom one i just left hanging so thats the one I need to fix to prevent my window from pulling it up and destroying it.

I don't know if this will help, but my window was going on the wrong side of the rubber part.. So I put a flexible ruler down the door against the glass when it was rolled down, and rolled it up so the ruler would put the rubber on the right side of the glass.
(and then pulled the ruler out, etc)

Reason: clarifying you dont leave the ruler in there lol
Hi,
My drivers side carpet is soaked after each car wash and its not my "sunroof" drains. I had a repair done 2 years ago and the shop lets me its was not anything they did.
Anyone know if the below could be teh issue or any other suggestions about a leak to my left floor besides teh roof drain.
Thanks in advance
Rob
