Is there a way to remove scratches from side view mirror? Can I use Scratch-X?

My side mirrors look like they've been scrubbed with a brillo pad or something.

If not, is it a simple DIY job to replace just the mirrors?

i was looking around and i found that you can just replace the mirror. has anyone attempted this? is it easy to remove the side mirror and replace it? i know our mirrors have auto defrost feature, so i was wondering how that would affect the removal/replacement.

 

I'm assuming you are talking about the glass itself right?

 

^ yep, just the glass.. it's all scratched up and it's distracting at night. i just want to replace the glass.
